OUR COMMITMENT, FROM ITS ROOTS TO THE FRUITS IT BEARS
In the Nineties, the concept of sustainability was in its infancy and ecological awareness still had a long way to go before becoming as important as it is today. But in Nobili the seed of respect for our environment had already sprouted. Since the first stone of the Suno plant was laid, our aim was the in-house execution of all of the 11 phases of the tap manufacturing process. This project is now reality in our Nobili Institute of Technology (NIT).
MAXIMUM CONTROL, FULL SUSTAINABILITY
Total control over each production phase granted us macro- and micro-vision at the same time. In other words, we have increased the final quality of our products, intervening in every process and detail, even the smallest. The combination of all the technological innovations we have managed to achieve has reduced the impact of our production more and more. This is what we, at Nobili, call “sustainability by design”, a virtuous circle in which the production approach cannot be separated from the environmental approach.

We have long wondered about which goal Nobili consider the most ambitious and challenging. With 70 years of experience behind us, today we know that this goal is excellence: excellence in design, in technical and engineering research and in materials. Yet excellence is still not enough. To combine flawless products with virtuous and responsible processes, our keyword is efficiency - because efficiency means going big, consuming less, wasting less, impacting less. It means always pushing quality one step forward, while our environmental impact takes one step back. Striking this balance is very difficult but very stimulating; it guides our research, keeps our curiosity alive and renews the passion and wonder that our work generates within us.

Sustainability has given a new meaning to “lightness” in the expression “taking things lightly”, which is usually intended as doing things in a superficial and approximate manner. Environmental lightness, on the other hand, is exactly the opposite: it is commitment, responsibility and conscientiousness - because reducing the footprint of our business processes requires meticulous and incessant work, even if this work is sometimes invisible. But if our saving, recycling and recovery percentages are all put together, then the vision becomes sharper, and it is easier to understand how environmental lightness permeates everything we do.
